Livia Diamonds is proud to say that we have worked on a number of beautiful custom engagement rings this year – many of which will be used to pop the question on one of the most popular days of the year for proposals – Christmas Day.With this in mind, and just in case some of our patrons are still thinking of ideas and ways to pop the question this Christmas, we have put together a list of ways that you can ask for your loved ones hand in marriage this holiday season:
- Hide the ring in the tree: It’s common for many to place smaller gifts or cards on the Christmas tree. Why not hide the ring somewhere on the tree? Perhaps on an ornament? Just don’t forget where you put it!
- Include the ring as part of another gift: Using another gift to disguise the engagement ring is a great way to surprise your loved one.
- Place the ring in her wine glass at dinner: This is a more traditional way to surprise your loved one. Ask her if she would like a drink, place the ring in the glass, and watch her eyes light up when she sees the ring for the first time.
- Take a walk to look at the lights: Talking a walk or drive to look at the Christmas lights in your town is tradition for many. It’s also a great backdrop to pop the question.
- Get the family in on it: The holidays are all about family, so why not get the whole family in on the proposal. Make sure the entire family is present, when she opens her gift. Don’t forget to have someone record the proposal!
- Attach the engagement ring on the dog’s collar: Does your loved one love dogs? Surprise her Christmas morning by having her fury friends wake her up – with an engagement ring on their collar.
